MESPT has been awarded the Spring Impact Scale Accelerator badge, recognising our commitment to scaling sustainable impact and advancing women’s economic empowerment.

In 2025, MESPT was selected to participate in the Spring Impact Scale Accelerator: Women’s Economic Empowerment, a global initiative supporting high-impact organisations to develop sustainable strategies for scaling their impact.

Through a six-month technical partnership, MESPT worked with Spring Impact to strengthen its approach to expanding women’s economic empowerment within Kenya’s agricultural sector. The programme supported us to develop a robust scale strategy, strengthen our scale and financial models, refine our partnership approaches, and embed practical innovation principles to support long-term, system-wide impact.

The journey has also strengthened our transition towards partnership-led delivery, with greater emphasis on movement building, market systems strengthening, capacity building and evidence-based policy advocacy. By working more strategically with last-mile partners and strengthening coordination across our programmes, we are building an approach designed to reach more people while contributing to lasting systemic change.

Our collaboration with Spring Impact has further informed MESPT’s emerging digital finance pathway, generating insights from young agripreneurs across Kenya’s six economic blocs on their financial needs, digital readiness, financing preferences and barriers to accessing financial services.

Receiving the Spring Impact Scale Accelerator badge is therefore more than a recognition of the journey so far. It reinforces our commitment to learning, collaboration and innovation as we continue working towards inclusive and sustainable economic opportunities for women and young people in Kenya.

We thank Spring Impact for the partnership, technical guidance and support throughout this journey, and we look forward to building on the progress made.
