MESPT Annual Planning Retreat 2025 Striving for Excellence, Embracing Change

From 3rd–7th November 2025, MESPT staff convened at Ciala Resort, Kisumu for the annual planning and budgeting retreat, a week of reflection, learning, alignment, and renewed commitment. This year’s retreat also integrated discussions on the forthcoming 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, marking a pivotal moment as MESPT positions itself to deepen its footprint in inclusive and green finance, market systems, and climate resilience.

During the week, MESPT held an awards ceremony inspired by the 2025 Customer Service Week theme, >“Empowering Excellence in Service,” MESPT recognized staff members who demonstrated exemplary dedication and service:

  • 1st Place: Emmanuel Juma – IT Assistant Officer
  • 2nd Place: Lily Chepkorir – Programme Officer
  • 3rd Place: Purity Kinya – Finance Manager

These champions embody MESPT’s values of Inclusion, Integrity, Innovation, Excellence and Sustainability and stand as a reminder that impact begins with exceptional people.

Led by Human Resource Department; Ingenuity and motivational speaker George Ikua, the team-building session centred on adaptability and embracing change. “Life is a series of dots… you can only connect them looking backwards,” George reminded the team, a message that resonated deeply as MESPT prepares for its next strategic phase.

The retreat re-energized staff, strengthened cohesion, and aligned purpose, leaving the team more united, inspired, and ready to deliver transformative results for Kenyan communities.
