Over 200 community members gathered in Mivandoni, Kathiani Sub-County, on June 23, 2025, to witness the official launch and handover of the Muvaa Community Water Weir, a transformative irrigation project designed to support more than 500 smallholder farmers in the region. Constructed along the Muvaa River, the weir represents a major investment in climate resilience, made possible through funding from DANIDA, implemented by the Micro Enterprises Support Programme Trust (MESPT), and in partnership with the County Government of Machakos.
